A native New Yorker (Lower East Side of Manhattan, then Upper West Side) based in London, Robert Liebman is a freelance writer specialising in current affairs, property, personal finance, business, travel and sports – and Second World War photographs.

After attending Stuyvesant High School, Robert attended Brooklyn College (B.A., Philosophy), City College of New York (M.A., English) and the University of Massachusetts (Ph.D., English, 1977). 

Robert did time as a copywriter and technical editor for phone giant AT&T and other corporate clients.

He became a freelance journalist in 1977, reviewing movies and plays and writing articles on political and current affairs.

Robert Liebman with microphoneAs a journalist, Robert has written  for major national newspapers (Financial Times, Times and Sunday Times, Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Observer, Independent, Guardian, Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, Daily Mirror), regional newspapers and magazines (including Country House & Home, Business, Investor Relations, BusinessLife, Homebuilding & Renovating), and Jewish/Israeli publications (Algemeiner, Jewish Chronicle [UK], Times of Israel). He has also produced several websites – including this one (with invaluable help from Godaddy).

His corporate clients have included a leading international management consultancy, a major UK telecommunications firm, and a brand-image and design consultancy.

He also provides media training courses for public relations professionals and conducts seminars at trade shows. He has also discussed the local and American property market on television and radio programmes.
